Jinqi joined the lab in late 2022 to start his PhD training after obtaining a Master's degree in Basic Medicine from Shenzhen University, China.
During his Master's studies, he was mainly engaged in research on regenerative medicine, including induced pluripotent stem cells. During this time he spent 3 months in our lab as an intern. Now he returns as a PhD student to unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms of cardiomyogenic (de)differentiation using conditionally immortalized cardiomyocytes.
