Twan de Vries and collaborators have received a MKMD grant from ZonMw to investigate alternatives for animal research. This project is a joint-effort of the Laboratory of Experimental Cardiology, the Department of Medicinal Chemistry (Ad Ijzerman and Laura Heitman) and Charles River as commercial partner. A total of €625,000 becomes available for this project, which will start early next year.
