We will present at HRS 2019 in San Francisco

We will present 2 different projects at the HRS 2019 meeting in San Francisco.

Niels Harlaar will present his work on immortogenetics, which involves the massive expansion of native human atrial cardiomyocytes for multiscale arrhythmia research.

Emile Nyns will share his latest results on termination of atrial fibrillation by local optogenetic gene therapy.

Both Niels and Emile will also compete in the Young Investigator Award session organized by the Cardiac Electrophysiology Society

These studies have been supported by a Less Animals-More Knowledge grant from NWO, a Vidi grant from the The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), and a Starting grant from the European Research Council (ERC).
