We have visited the II St. Petersburg Arrythmology Forum in Russia. Twan showed our work on reversible immortalization of cardiomyocytes, while Niels presented the data regarding the use of excised human atrial tissue for mechanistic studies into arrhythmogenesis. Finally, Daniel presented several ongoing studies on the use of optogenetics to study and treat cardiac arrhythmias. Great scientific discussions during and outside the conference, while enjoying St. Petersburg. Thanks to our colleague Sasha Panfilov and the conference organization for the invitation.
