Niels Harlaar has received a MD/PhD grant from the LUMC for his PhD proposal "Atrial fibrillation: From protein to patient". This grant will allow him to continue and finish his PhD training, which involves true translational research. He is appointed by the Departments of Cardiothoracic surgery and Cardiology.
