Prof. dr. (Jaap) Hamming is hoogleraar en hoofd vaatchirurgie en tevens hoofd klinische zaken van de afdeling Heelkunde. Hij is tevens nauw betrokken bij kwaliteit en patiëntveiligheid van het LUMC. Hij is lid van de Wetenschappelijk adviesraad van het Zorginstituut, lid van het Regionaal Medisch tuchtcollege en lid van de Raad van Toezicht van het Rijnstate.
