Dr. D. Eefting

Dr. D. (Daniël) Eefting is vaatchirurg met als aandachtsgebied de open en endovasculaire behandeling van aneurysma van de aorta. Tevens heeft hij speciale interesse in de behandeling van de diabetes patiënt met wonden aan de voet (“de diabetische voet”). In 2009 is hij gepromoveerd op het proefschrift: “Gene therapy strategies to target post-interventional vascular remodeling”. Na zijn promotie ronde hij in 2011 zijn opleiding tot chirurg af. Hierna startte hij zijn vervolgopleiding tot vaatchirurg in het Erasmus MC. In 2013 trad hij als vaatchirurg toe tot de maatschap chirurgie in het Haaglanden Medisch Centrum. Vanaf 2017 werkt hij ook één dag in de week in het LUMC met de focus op de behandeling van complexe aortapathologie.

Naast deze klinische werkzaamheden is hij opleider vaatchirurgie in het HMC en binnen het HMC vervult hij ook de functie van medisch manager van het cluster Snijdend. Tevens is hij co-voorzitter van het vaatchirurgische samenwerkingsverband tussen het LUMC en HMC (Universitair Vaatcentrum Leiden | Den Haag).
