Dr. M. (Marianne) Bootsma is cardioloog en heeft als specialisme/aandachts gebied elektrofysiologie.

In 2000 rondde zij de opleiding tot cardioloog af. De opleiding werd gevolgd in het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum, waar zij nu werkzaam is als electrofysioloog. Ze houdt zich bezig met de invasieve behandeling van ritmestoornissen (ablaties en ICD/pacemaker implantaties).
